and as I’m strapping him into his carseat,
I tell him, Mommy picked you up early today!!!
“Did you bring me a surprise?” he asks.
“Yep!” I reply
“SURPRISE, I picked you up from school!”
“You’re my surprise?”
With a look of disappointment, he continues
“I thought Daddy was gonna pick me up”.
