Confessions of a Shopaholic…Biker Babe

Hubby drives a Honda CBR
aka Street Bike
aka Crotch Rocket

I must admit, I think it's pretty hot.

And I wanna be a Biker Babe
I wanna be this hot girl
In the tight jeans
And gorgeous boots
With a jacket that fits in all the right places
The girl that pulls off her helmet so sexy
with all her long flowing hair
Shaking and falling
to land just
P E R F E C T…

www.bikerornot.com/eviestreasures

This past Valentines Day,
I asked him to take me on a ride
So I could be that
Hot Biker Babe

However-

The reality of it was
I don’t have a cute jacket
So I had to wear one of his jackets
Uggh…men’s cut
Instead of being tight in all the right places
It’s big and bulky

It’s leather,
Which only means it’s
REALLY HOT (literally)

Then I have to wear his gloves
So now I have man hands to top it off.

I put on my helmet
And I think…
I’m g o n n a pass out….

I am wearing some cute jeans
But the whole time I'm worried
My butt crack was on display

Whenever we would stop at a red light
I would look over and see people looking at us
And all I could think about was
My butt is hanging out!

Oh and before I forget to mention this...

I’ll tell you that my head bumps into hubby’s
everytime we stop or accelerate

CLANK!

This is so not the picture I had in mind.

When I take off my helmet,
I feel like I’ve got helmet hair.

Oh well, at least I've got a cute helmet!

We rode to have breakfast by the marina
Then cruised along the beach

On the way home,
I learned how not to bump heads.

And how to hold on tight and lean with him.

After all the stress and unsexyness- it was fun.

But next time I wanna be the Biker Babe.

Which lead me to my search-

I found Levi’s Skinny Jeans for Curvy girls.
These things are amazing!
If you have a larger derriere
And thicker thighs…
Say built like Beyonce
(wink wink)
These jeans are for you.

And I found my own jacket
No more manly build
This sweet jacket was marked down from $149.99
To only $49.99

At http://www.motorcyclesuperstore.com/

There's no more though,sorry!

Although I would to have one of these sexy things...

This beauty is $239.50,

I just couldn't bring myself to pay that much for something I'd hardly wear.

This sexy curvy thing might need to get a savings started for $157.99

Now if I only I can find some new boots!

Home coming...

Hubby went straight from work to dinner
with an old friend the other night.

I have no problem with it.
The Boy on the other hand is a different story.

I was able to keep him busy most of the night
shuttling him and the girls from store to store
as we ran errands.

But anytime he had a free moment,
He would start in with the questioning,
Where’s Daddy?
When is he coming home?

I would reply, Daddy went with a friend.
He’ll be home soon Son.

Shower time came and went.

He wanted to call his Daddy.
I let him send some text messages and smiley faces.

Then it was bedtime.

I put him in his bed,
turned on the TV,
and sat at the computer desk across his room.

He watched TV for a while
Then I heard the unhappy exhale

Hmmpphh…

He began as he lay there on his pillow
looking up at the ceiling
with one leg crossed over the other…

I think Daddy’s gonna spend the night at his friends house tonight.

What’dya say Son?

I think Daddy’s gonna spend the night at his friends house tonight Mom.
He’s not coming home, he continued on with such disappointment.

I chuckled, Yes, he’s coming home Son.

It seemed almost instantaneously
that we heard the roar of Hubby’s motorcycle

He jumped up outta bed
and ran full speed to the front door.

My Daddy’s home.
I’m so excited! He shouted!

Who's Arguing?

It’s funny to watch the way 4 year old brains try to figure out what people are saying.
They translate bigger or unfamiliar words into words that are in the vocabulary.
If you know the The Boy, he questions E V E R Y T H I N G.
To make it even more fun, he’s stubborn so he always believes he’s right.

He would come home from school and tell me the kids at school had “Case of C” for lunch. I thought he was telling me the kids were having quesadillas. So for months, I would grill quesadillas for his lunch. He always seemed a bit confused when I’d wrap them up in foil and put them in his lunch. This week, I finally figured out what he meant.
Case of C = KFC

This kid loves to sing. He will listen to the radio and try to copy what they’re saying. He’ll ask me to sing the songs to him so he can understand and repeat the words.
He loves to teach you how to sing songs too. Whether it’s a song on the radio or one that he’s learned in chapel at pre-school, just ask him.
The Boy’s favorite song is the “I wear Captain Ears” song.
Another favorite is “Why you doing sesame?”
I wear Captain Ears = (Taylor Swift) She’s cheer captain, I’m on the bleachers. She wears high heels, I wear sneakers. Put it all together and “I wear Captain Ears”
Why you doing sesame = (Mariah, of course) Why you so obsessed with me.

In his true Benjamin Button fashion, he swears he’s lived in another house (we’ve lived in the same house since I was 5 months pregnant with him).
Lately he’s really been on this kick.
He tells people we’ve moved.
Or he walks around saying he doesn’t like this house, he liked our other house better.

We pass by office buildings and he always asks his Dad about working in that building.
He remembers going there.
Hubby is utterly confused and will tell him that he’s never worked there before.
He jokingly said, “That was your dad in your other life, not me.”
The Boy responds, “NO, it was you!” so matter of fact.

Right after that dispute, we’re on the freeway and The Boy asks his Dad “Who are those people on those signs. The ones that fix them”
Hubby still a bit confused, says “I don’t know Son. I’ve never done that. It wasn’t me.”
“No Daddy, those signs. Look right there.” As he points to the billboards along the freeway.
I could feel the frustration.
So I jumped in with the technical term “Those are billboard people, billboard hangers…” as my voice trails off cause I really have no idea what they’re actually called.
“Yeah Daddy, Mommy got it right”
Apparently we were in the middle of a game show.
I won.

Then he asks, “What’s that thing in the sky there Mom”
Now Hubby’s playing the sleeping game as I drive home.
“That’s a blimp Son.”
“A Limp? Do people ride in it?” he asks.
“Yes, they ride in the bottom part.”
“Is it soft?”
“No, I don’t think so”
“A Limp, a limp, a limp.” He keeps repeating.
“It’s a Bbbblimp”, “starts with a B, Blimp.” I reply, as I’m trying to emphasize the on the correct pronunciation.
To which he quickly corrects me “A Limp, that’s what I said. Why do you keep arguing with me?”

Volcano Conquering

Stress + Anxiety + Frustration =

pimples

(volcano sized in case you were wondering)

(taken from seafood punch's photostreatm at flickr)

and sleepless nightsI should be all set for Halloween...no costume needed!

Ok, enough whining...

in usual Janelle fashion, I will dust myself off and laugh at life in the face

Bwaaahhhaaaahhaaaa!

or in honor of Halloween - put on my Dr.'s cap and prescribe positive outlooks for today:

"Even too much sunshine can be devasting, while only with rain can growth occur. Accept both as part of the growing process in the garden of life."Donald S. Neviaser, from The Inner View

"It's not stress that kills us, it is our reaction to it."Hans Selye

"The time to relax is when you don't have time for it." Author Unkown

"Do not anticipate trouble or worry about what may never happen. Keep in the sunlight." Benjamin Franklin

I will also share our real volcano adventure with you, maybe that's where these craters on my face came from, are these things contagious??!!

Our first adventure in Hawaii.

6am hike to the top of Diamond Head Crater

yep, 6AM

(But with the time change, it was like 9am our time, that's ok for a hike, right?!)

Hubby wanted to take a "before" picture.

Apparently, I looked over-joyed to hike a volcano at this god forsaken hour.

This is about the halfway point.

The point where we're thinking...Isn't it beautiful.

Oh Wifey, you're so great for thinking of such awesome things for us to do together!

(yes, i know that's what he was thinking)

The 1st set of stairs Huffing

Puffing

wheh....ok, we're almost there

That was kinda rough.

I read about this part though.

99 stairs to the top.

We're good.

What they actually meant -99 stairs to the tunnelWhich leads to another 99 stairs.

Then a set of metal windy stairs.

Then into an old army bunkerwhich has a couple more stairs. Oh and don't hit your head on your way out cause you only have about a 2 foot clearance

Am I the only one wondering why there's noone passed out on the side of this here crater?

Am I gonna be the first to pass out?

Will they have to airlift me out of here?

Why is hubby on his blackberry?

Whose idea was this again?

Oh that's right, my idea.

Look. at. these. views.

Spectacular.

It was well worth every huff, every puff, and each and every step taken.
(and the week of tremendous pain felt in my legs for the rest of our vacation!)

This is the "after". Not so chipper, huh?!

We came,

We climbed,
We conquered.

Oh wait, now we have to get down?!

How Do I Love Thee...

Let me count the ways…

When you leave me cash on the nightstand before you leave in the morning. I promise it doesn’t make me feel like you just left a brothel!

For letting me “drag” you to Hawaii on a schedule and letting me hustle you from one excursion to the next, hey we’ll have no kids, we have to be adventurous!

For somehow dealing with 3 estrogen filled little ladies with PMS all AT THE SAME TIME!

For not freaking out when I texted you that I’m on my way home with Grandma and she’s staying with us.

For not freaking out even more when she said she may stay til November!! Or was it December?!

For letting The Boy sneak into our bed in the middle of the night and put his feet in your face, neck, and back. I promise too soon he’ll be grown and we’ll be wishing for those days back.

Sheesh, and that’s just this weeks adventures…

Oh how I love thee...

Home Alone

It’s The Girls’ week at their Dad’s house.
And The Boy spent the night at his sitters house.
(just so you know- he loves her more than he loves me!
He’s actually admitted to it!
He cries when I go to pick him up
So I let him stay, one of these days, he’ll be crying for me, I just know it!)

So there we were.

Me and Hubby.

A L O N E

Just the two of us.

What in the world would we do-

A romantic candlelit dinner together?
A walk along the beach?
Staying up and partying all night long?

No way!

We enjoyed the evening of peace and quiet in our favorite ways-

I did more party planning for The Boy’s birthday bash
I drove to the bakery to try to find a cake
Dropped off some invitations to his friends.
Visited my Dad to check if he had the essentials to make the party even radder!
(cones, caution tape, detour signs, you know, boy stuff!!)

Hubby stayed home and enjoyed the time alone.
Cooked up some BBQ tri-tip (I think that’s what it was??!!)
Whipped up all the sides for dinner
And I’m sure he threw in a couple of games of World of Warcraft *sigh*

By the time I got home, dinner was ready!

A couple glasses of wine, fine dining on paper plates, and adult conversation.
Followed by an evening of watching Man vs. Wild.
That show is kinda crazy and you have to question the validity of it all!

So maybe it wasn’t candlelit or on the beach,
but it was a perfect evening home alone.

Just one wish

A man was riding his Harley along a California beach when suddenly the sky cleared above his head and, in a booming voice, the Lord said, 'Because you have tried to be faithful to me in all ways, I will grant you one wish.'

The biker pulled over and said, 'Build a bridge to Hawaii so I can ride over anytime I want.'
The Lord said, 'Your request is materialistic, think of the enormous challenges for that kind of undertaking, the supports required reaching the bottom of the Pacific and the concrete and steel it would take!. It will nearly exhaust several natural resources. I can do to it, but it is hard for me to justify your desire for worldly things. Take a little more time and think of something that could possibly help mankind.'

The biker thought about it for a long time. Finally, he said, 'Lord, I wish that I and all men could understand women, I want to know how she feels inside, what she's thinking when she gives me the silent treatment, why she cries, what she means when she says nothing's wrong, why she snaps and complains when I try to help, and how I can make a woman truly happy.'

The Lord replied, "you want two lanes or four lanes on that bridge?'

Aint that the truth?!

Being a woman, you know these things first hand.
But yet, in that moment, you just cannot break this terrible curse of
"why doesn't he just know"
that's embedded in our genes!

Being a mother of two girls, I have the joy of being on the opposite end.
You get the look,
the stares from accross the room,
the peeking from around the corner,
the cold shoulder,
the small talk that is feeling you out to see if you're in a good mood,
or my favorite (from you middle child) the notes!!!

I'm trying to teach them - If you want something, just ASK!!!
Don't beat around the bush, don't expect me to "just know" because most of the time I do.
But because I'm your mom, I'm not gonna make it that easy, sorry darling!

There will be alot of people that we come accross in life that don't "just know" what you want.

Unfortunately, hubby (or shall I say I) took the beating on this one this week.
As I mentioned earlier this week, I've been having some terrible shoulder pain.
Being that I'm always trying to be the OVERLYindependent woman (Rooaarrr!!)
It gets me in trouble sometimes.
I don't like to complain,
I HATE asking for help.
I don't like to be in a position where I can't do things for myself or my family.

But guess what?!

Sometimes your body needs you to be vulnurable, needs you to take some time out.

My shoulder's been hurting me for about 3 months or more
The pain comes and goes.
I thought it was from stress, I needed a massage, my purse was too heavy, etc.
But then the pain moved down my arm thru to my elbow.
Then to my hand.
Then the muscle weakness set in.
When I thought back over the past few months, I remembered that I was dropping things alot.
I haven't been able to sleep good at night because my arm and shoulder would hurt so bad.
It started to hurt to grip the steering wheel for my long trek home.
It hurt to have my fingers bent.
The sensation of the vibration from the steering wheel on my hand drove me insane.
It bothered me to have my hand closed to hold the boy's hand.
Finally, it was time to see a doctor.
The dr. thinks it's radiculothapy which is a pinched root nerve in the neck. It explains all the symptoms that I'm having. But he's checking for athritis too since it runs in the family.

Again, being the indpendent woman, I hadn't really talked about the true pain and worry I was feeling. I expected him to "just know".

Needless to say, every small thing turned into a big thing.
I wanted something, but when asked, I would reply, No thanks, I'm fine.
Of course, getting more hurt and angry that he doesn't "just know"

Finally after 3 days of being angry and probably putting him on an up and down roller coaster,
I gave up.
He tried, I was being resistent.
Honestly, there's no reason for playing the game of CLUE.
Just ask.

Honey, you're not off the hook, my shoulder still hurts, I think I need a massage! (wink wink)

Growing Pains...

The end of the year is steadily approaching which means birthday season is fast upon us...

The boy will go first, turning 4 in September.

This boy has quite an imagination and can tell a story, well, just about as good as all my other kids! They tend to stretch the truth and turn a small thing into a much grander, more eleborate event!

If you went upon his words, you would think this boy has a dirt bike, and 2 street bikes (motorcycles). (Yes, he wants to be a biker boy, just like daddy and Uncle Jeff)

His bikes are in the shop. They're being worked on because he had an accident.
One is red (because 1 of everything in his life is red) and one is green.
If you'd ever like to see these bikes, you get on the freeway, then go right, then left. I know this because he screamed that during a tantrum on our way home, apparently we were supposed to be going to the shop!

He's lived his life in reverse, sorta like the great Benjamin Button.

When he was a older, he was a bad boy. He went to jail.
(Hence his immense fear for policemen and their guns) However he does thoroughly enjoy locking himself up with those red fuzzy handcuffs play handcuffs he finds!

When he was a teenager, he had 5 dirt bikes. He did tricks on his ramp, on his BMX bike with pegs, and big jumps on his skateboard.

But now he's just a boy. A boy who's obsessed with words like butt and poop!
Take your pick, either one seems to fit into any sentence that comes out of his mouth.

The pre-teen will officially become a teenager in October.

I had the pleasure of taking her school shopping this weekend.
She used to be the girl that would find something no matter where we went, just for the sheer joy of getting something because mom said she could.

But now she's a teenager and everything MUST fit just right. So we walked up and down the mall corrider, going in and out of the stores, trying on this shirt, those pants, arguing about prices and drilling in that I'm not buying her another pair of skinny jeans...for 5 hours this circus goes on, only to find 1 stinkin' shirt!

Oh, how I longed for the days when she enjoyed wearing sweats and would just pick something! I guess after all these years of yelling at her for "just picking something because" has backfired!

The teenager will be 16 in December

She took her first vacation without her family, to Vegas of all places! I know, I'm crazy!
She was with her friends family, and yes, I was terrified at times.
But she's alive and she's home, so that's good, right?!

So Sunday morning we're up and getting ready to go to brunch and I go in her room to check out my outfit in the mirror (I mean 5 hrs of shopping and frustration, I deserved something new!)
She's acting a little funny and giving me that wierd look,
that "I did something wrong, does she notice?" smile
At first I figure it's because we're dressed similar, and I think she secretly likes it

Then I realize it

I see that shining reflection that's beaming off the side of her nose
I look, I yell, "What is that?!! Why did you do that?!!, When did you do that?!!!!!!!!"

Smirk, "I did it last night" "I cleaned everything really good Mom, I used the earing cleaner"

Still yelling "You're gonna get an infection!!!" "I told you next time you need to ask me first"

Next time?! you're asking yourself....oh yes, this is the second time. She recently took out a septum piercing. What is a septum you ask?
a dividing wall, membrane, or the like, in a plant or animal structure; dissepiment.

Yep, a dividing membrane in between the nose, like where you pierce a bull...that's where my sweet girl had her piercing. She recently took that out. But who was I kidding, she then became obsessed with how cute they look on the outside of ones nose.

Well my sweet child, you still had 2 father's you needed to go through. If one didn't have a fit, the other would. I'm sorry your Dad made you take it out!

In due time my love!

Now since we're on her birthday, we of course have to talk about mine because it's the same day. And we hate I mean, LOVE it, don't we?

I am definetly feeling the pain of getting older, now that I'm officially in my thirities, now I'm thirty plus a real number, gasp!!

I realize that ALL the clothes we saw in the mall, were clothes that I wore in jr. high. Funny how these things return. Then I worry that I'm shopping in the same stores.
I see women that are older than my mother at these stores trying things on and wondering to myself, is she really gonna wear that?!

Then I wonder if the kids my daughters age are saying that about me?!

I've been having this terrible pain that has set into my shoulder and moved down to my hand. It's been creeping up on me for a few months now, coming and going, but now I feel like it wants to make a permanent home and it terrifies me! Mom's can't be down, I can't be down. I hate it.
This getting old stuff aint no joke!

So last night, I'm just out of commission. I decide I'm gonna lay down and ice my shoulder.

Hubby's got the boy covered. They get ice cream from the ice cream man. Sweet of them to buy me one, but not in the mood to eat it. So they enjoy theirs.
Since mama's not cooking, they get Taco Bell. I said no to that, but hubby knows, I will not refuse food in front of my face. Smart man that he is brought me some...good thinkin!

But after the ice cream, Taco Bell, kimchi soup, and I'm sure a few other snacks hubby has enjoyed, I wonder to myself - why isn't he growing?

I'd like to send a Shout Out

or a shot out...I'm a dork and don't really know what is the right way to say it...

To the teenager:
I know you didn't want to wake up on Tuesday morning and spend your summer day watching your sick little brother because he had a fever and mom had to go to work.
I know because you looked up at me with squinted eyes as I shook you out of your deep sleep and said "I don't want to", but because I'm the loving mother that I am, I replied "I don't care, you're watching him!!!!!".
You complied and were actually pleasent to deal with for the remainder of the day. It may have had something to do with needing to be nice in order to get school clothes but none the less, you were pleasent and complied, so thank you!

To the pre-teen:
Thanks for helping your sister with the above. And also, thank you for making dinner on Wed. night because we were at swim and haven't had a home cooked meal in 2 weeks!!! Thank you for not burning the rice! The rice and chicken were scrum-deli-umptious!
in 2 months, mama's not gonna be able to call you a pre-teen anymore...oh no!

To the boy:
Thank you for being good when your sister's were watching you. I know you were good because you kept telling your sissy to "tell mommy I'm being good!". And thank you for being so sweet this morning and giving mommy the last bottle of water from the fridge! I know you were going in there with a glimmer of hope that there would be a juice box however to your disappointment there was only a stinkin' bottle of water!

To hubby:
Thanks for loving me for me. I know you think I'm loud and crazy but you love me anyway. I know because you told the girls "that's just your mom, she's loud!" as you tried to explain to them why I text with so many exclamation points and multiple question marks??!!!

To the boy's preschool:
Cause it's Kid's Night Out! I don't know what you do to our kids to pump them up about coming back to school on a Fri night to hang out with their teachers, but I love you for it! We're just as excited cause that means Date Night!! whoohoo!!

To my scale:
Thank you for not budging in the wrong direction these days! Even though I haven't visited my friend treadmill or that crazy monster bow-flex at all this summer. You've let me enjoy my sangria, bud lite lime, and backyard bbq's. I'm hoping the summer bike rides and teaching that boy mama's version of dribbiling is counting for something! I promise, I'm watching my points!
Now if you could just help me fit in these skinny jeans??!

Insomniac Hour

Have you ever have one of those nights that you feel so tired
you've worked all day
made dinner (or picked up some El Pollo Loco)
washed dishes
put the kids to bed
picked up arond the house some more
you just can't possibly keep your eyes open a minute longer
can't possibly fold that last load of laundry that's calling your name cause you'll be looking for those socks in the morning
you stumble to bed
and as soon as your head hits the pillow
You're W I D E awake!!
Last night was one of those nights
I hate those nights!
Alot of the times it's usually me waking up in the middle of the night
because I've forgotten to put the "sleep" timer on the tv
I wake up to the rumbling laugh of the audience on the David Letterman Show
or even worse Late night with Craig Ferguson, I find him so funny that I begin to laugh along
I know what you're thinking, the same thing my hubby thinks
Turn off the tv before you fall asleep
Well I simply can't!
The tv is the only way that I can get my brain turned off long enough to fall asleep
I'm usually asleep before the opening credits roll on movies
before House's case is presented to him
or right before they're about to break the case on Dateline...ugghh!!
Once I'm up
I'm up
and I get stuck in marathons of Intervention
For some odd reason
my brain will not turn off when I'm watching the most depressing things
I will wake up at 1am and watch reruns of Intervention til 4am,
knowing darn well that I need to be at 6am for work
My brain will not shut off!
I will lie awake getting pulled into their story
feeling the pain of the family
and crying tears as the intervention begins
Last night I was pulled into All the Pretty Horses
An older movie
a slow movie
a cowboy movie
a story of friends
a story of love
a story of the pain
I think I may have laughed once
depressing, I tell ya'
but there I was sucked in again
It was actually a pretty good movie
such a love story
I can be such a hopeless romantic sometimes...
but I was sucked in and watched it from beginning to end
without dozing off once!
Part of my problem was my stomach has been bothering me the past few nights
The boy and hubby were passed out in our bed
So around midnight, I moved the boy into his room
Was irritated hubby was fast asleep
while I was clearly wide awake!
So I proceeded to turn the fan on and off, on and off, trying to figure it out
Pretty loudly opened the front door
(not on purpose of course!)
unlock, unlock, opened the paint stuck by the heat of the night door
(which is right by our room)
Not a rumble or even a look from the room
unlock, unlock open the screen door
Nothing again
Run out to my car
get some medicine
Close the door
lock, lock
Nothing!!
Doesn't he know I'm wide awake??!!
Then I have to realize he's been working a crazy full schedule
helping my brother with home renovations all weekend
he deserves to be tired
but hey, I'm a woman,
I'm moody
I'm tired
I'm probably hungry
so I'm irritated!
Then I do the just before bed routine of brushing teeth, washing my face
and
I think that now I may be tired enough to hit the sack
turn on the tv
and you guessed it... I was sucked in again!

Monday, June 29, 2009

My boy and hubby went home the other night to an empty house
This was the first night for the girls to be at their dad's house for their weekly visit
And I had to go to off to do a show right after my day job
(I'm also in the business of putting the Passion and romance back into the lives of couples)
So there they were, just the boys
ALONE in the house
with nothing but their McDonald's in hand
he looks at his daddy and says,
Daddy, my heart is bothering me
Why? asks Hubby
Cause my sissies and mommy aren't home!
(of course by now his lip is purched out)
His daddy let him call his sisters...
he asked them to come home right now!
Aaaahhhh...talk about heart wrenching!!!!!!!!
Oh, the guilt I felt!!
Unfortunately he was already asleep by the time I got home that night.
But the next morning, he hugged and kissed me like never before
He's never been much of a mama's boy
Maybe absence does make the heart grow fonder!

I see Rainbows

As the boy sits in the backseat rambling and questioning everything in the universe
Why are we stopping?
Where are we going?
Why doesn't that kid have a helmet on?
Is that man mad at you again mom?Did you give him a thumbs up? (that's a whole 'nother story)
We hear
"I see Rainbows!"
Now it's about 8pm, dark as night, and
we're all wondering what in the world is the boy talking about now?
As I turn around to check him out I notice
he's got these cool 3-d shades on that he "borrowed" from cousin Papaya
"I see Rainbows!"
"But not like this (looking straight a head), like this(now with the tilted puppy dog head)!"
So that makes the rest of us curious
and one by one
The Preteen tries on the glasses
tilt
"Oh yeah!"
Then the Teenager
tilt
"Oh, cool" (yes very sarcastically, she's a teenager)
Of course I wanna try too, but I like a good driver wait for a red light!
glasses, check
tilt, check
Rainbows, check!
"Mom, the lights green!!"
ooh pretty rainbow!
Hubby thinks he's pretty cool too, but he gets in on the rainbow checking action!
Of course, really what we're seeing is the just the blur of the traffic lights
No need for the acid trip people, just get some 3d glasses!

And just for fun, I'd like to drive you crazy with some optical illusions found while searching for blurred traffic light photos
Enjoy!

I feel nauseous now...

Follow along through the fun and agony as we try to figure out how to raise two completely opposite teenagers- Teen 1, the fiesty yet inquisitive one, Teen 2 quiet but wise-cracking and our ball full of energy known as The Boy. It aint always pretty, but we’ll sure try to make the best of it!
These are the stories of our lives…
